The Johnston Giving Initiative is a private foundation focused on making grants to support human and animal health, safety and welfare.

The Johnston Giving Initiative was established in 2025. We do not have any geographical restrictions, but we are focused on getting resources to small local non-profits that need additional resources to do their critical work locally. Nonprofit organizations that qualify for charity status under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code are eligible for grants.

We are also interested in advancing the development of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). The foundation supports STEM activity through education, research and training.
